BARBECUED TURKEY

(AKA MANTI BBQ TURKEY)

Phyllis Ross and Rita DeBry

1 part Wesson oil       (1cup)

2 parts Seven-up          (2 cups)

1 part soy sauce          (1 cup)

1/2 teaspoon horse radish, stays the same

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder, stays the same

About 18 to 24 hours ahead, make the sauce and marinate the turkey breast that has been cut into small strips.

Make enough marinade to cover the meat.  Place in a plastic container with a cover.  Place turkey in the sauce overnight.  Barbecue slowly.  Do not over-cook or burn.  Turn and baste frequently.  Turkey like fish-too much heat spoils the meat.

Notes: This marinade is so good and you will enjoy this different way to fix turkey.  The first time we ate it we couldn't tell what the meat was, but it was delicious
