Carol's Mustard Sauce    Carol Orr

 

½ Cup vinegar

½ cup dry mustard

1 large egg or 2 small

1 ½ cups white sugar

Dash of salt

 

Mix vinegar and mustard, let set over night: Next day add egg, sugar, salt.

Using a heavy pan, cook, stirring constantly until thick.  Cool and refrigerate.  When needed, mix equal parts of mustard sauce and mayonnaise.

Use basic sauce to baste ham     For dipping or sandwiches add the mayo.
