Chocolate Cake –Carol Orr

One Bowl

3 cups sugar1 ½ cups milk

4 ½ cups flour 3/4 tsp Salt

½ cup cocoa 1 Tbs. soda

1 ½ cups butter 2 tsp vanilla

4 eggs 2 1/4 cups boiling water

I mix everything but the boiling water in my big Mixmaster. (To help the cocoa mix in easier, mix it with the sugar and flour first.) When ingredients are mixed together, pour the boiling water over the mixture and beat in until smooth. Put batter into greased 9 X 13 pan and bake at 375 degrees for 25 minutes.
