JUBILEE JUMBLES

Makes about 4 dozen
1 cup brown sugar
½ cup white sugar
½ cup soft shortening
2 eggs
1 cup evaporated milk (not condensed)
1 tsp. Vanilla
2 ¾ cups flour
½ tsp. Baking soda
1 tsp. Baking powder
1 tsp. Salt
1 cup chocolate chips, nuts, coconut or raisins
Mix thoroughly sugars, shortening and eggs. Add milk and vanilla. Add dry ingredients,
blend in chocolate chips, etc. Drop on
greased baking sheet. Bake about 11 to
12 minutes at 375 degrees until delicately browned. Frost with Burnt Butter Glaze
BURNT BUTTER GLAZE
Heat 2 TBP butter until golden brown.
Beat in 2 cups powdered sugar and ¼ cup evaporated
milk. Don’t make it too thick
