MONKEY BREAD<= o:p>

1 Tbsp. yeast

½ cup sugar

2 cups warm water

1 tsp. salt

6 cups flour

2 beaten eggs

4 Tbsp. oil

1 cube butter or margarine

 

Mix yeast, sugar, water and salt, let rest for 5 minutes.  Mix in eggs and &fra= c12; the flour, then oil.  Add rema= ining flour.  Let rise until double,= 20 minutes or so.  Dough will be sticky.  Melt butter in bundt = pan.  Roll dough ¼ inch thick.  Cut with doughnut cutter (center out).  Coat dough with butter = and stack in pan standing up against each other.  Allow to rise until bubbled.  Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes= .

 

Note: I a= lso like to use the Monkey Bread to make cinnamon and orange bread.  After rolling out dough, I dip eac= h cut into butter then a mixture of either cinnamon sugar and= nuts OR for orange rolls; sugar and shredded orange rinds.  Stack in a bread pan standing up.<= span style=3D'mso-spacerun:yes'>  Let rise and bake 350 degrees for = 30 to 35 minutes.
