Mom's Ice Cream    Carol Orr

 

3/4 cup flour

3 cups sugar

3/4 tsp salt

6 cups scalded milk

9 large egg yolks, beaten

Whipping cream 3-4 cups

 

Mix flour, sugar, and salt.  Add to scalded milk.

Bring to boil stirring constantly until thickened.  Then stir a little of the hot custard into the egg yolks,. Then add those into the rest of the custard.

To each 1 cup of custard, add ¾ cup of whipping cream. Such as 4 cups custard, add 3 cups whipping cream.   Follow ice cream maker directions to freeze.
