PUFFED-UP PIZZA CASSEROLE        Beryl Trujillo

1 1/2  lbs ground beef, or sausage, or chicken           1     cup milk

1        15 oz can tomato sauce                                    1/4  cup butter, melted

1         cup chopped onion                                          1    Tbsp oil

1         cup chopped green pepper                              2    eggs

1/2      cup  water                                                       1    cup flour

1-1 1/2 pkg. spaghetti sauce mix                               2    cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1         tsp oregano (at least)                                      1/2  cup parmesan cheese

1         clove garlic, minced (I use 3-4 cloves)          Dashes of hot pepper sauce

 

Cook ground meat until brown, with onions.  Drain.  Stir in tomato sauce, water, chopped green pepper, spaghetti sauce mix, oregano, garlic and hot pepper.  Bring to a boil, simmer for 10 minutes.  Place mixture in greased 9x13 pan, and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.

 

Beat milk, butter, oil and eggs for one minute.  Add flour and beat for 2 more minutes, on high.  Pour flour mixture over the meat and cheese mixtures and top with Parmesan cheese.

 

Bake 400 for 30 minutes until brown.  Let stand 10 minutes prior to eating.

 

Reheats well.
