 1     pound carrots -- 5 medium

 1    teaspoon cornstarch

 1     tablespoon sugar

 1/4  teaspoon  salt

 1/4  teaspoon  ginger

 1/4  cup  orange juice

 2      tablespoons butter -- or margarine

 

1. Peel carrots and cut crosswise.  Cook in small amount of water until tender.  Drain.

2. Combine cornstarch, sugar, salt and ginger.  Add orange juice and cook

until the mixture thickens.  Boil 1 minute.  Stir in butter.  Pour over

carrots.
