5    peaches – large, divided

9    inch cooked pie shell

2/3 cup  sugar

3       tablespoons  cornstarch

1/2 cup  water

 1/2 teaspoon  almond flavoring

 2    tablespoons  butter

      whipping cream

 

Slice 3 peaches into a cooked pie shell.  Mash 2 more peaches and add sugar,

cornstarch and water.  Cook 5 minutes, until it boils then stir in the flavoring

and butter.  Pour over sliced peaches.  Chill.

Serve topped with whipped cream.
