TOPPING FOR GERMAN CHOC CAKE    Annette Wells

 

1 cup sugar

1 cube margarine

1/4 cup milk

1 cup coconut

1 beaten egg

1 tsp vanilla

1 cup chopped nuts.

 

Mix together sugar, margarine, milk, coconut and egg.   Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.   Cook slowly 3-4 minutes. It  will thicken.  Add vanilla and chopped nuts.  Spread on warm cake.
