ULTIMATE CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES      Nona Nelson

 

¾ cups Golden Flavored Crisco

11/4 cups lightly packed brown sugar

1egg

2 Tablespoons milk

2 teaspoons vanilla

11/2 cup flour

1 teaspoon salt

  ¾ baking soda teaspoon

1 cup chocolate chips

1 cup coarsely chopped pecans

(If you do not use pecans add an extra ½ cup of chocolate chips)

 

Preheat oven to 375*. Cream Crisco and brown sugar in a large bowl for 2 minutes or just until blended.  Add egg, milk and vanilla, beating 1 minute.  Combine flour, salt and baking soda.  Add to creamed mixture gradually, beating until just blended. Stir in chocolate chips and pecans. Drop by heaping spoonfuls on ungreased baking sheet.  Bake 8 or 10 minutes.
